Mark Kenneth Woods – Director/Producer

Woods is a multi-award winning filmmaker and one of Canada’s most prominent independent LGBTQ2 voices. His work has screened in over 400 festivals and galleries around the world, including Paris’ Centre Pompidou and The British Museum in London, and has been broadcast on television in over a dozen countries.

A familiar face on Canada’s OUTtv Network, Mark is known as the creator and star of various TV series (The Face of Furry Creek, The House of Venus Show) and the hugely successful LGBTQ commercial for Starbucks “Coffee Frenemies” starring Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano.

He is currently working on the 3rd season of his award-winning docuseries “Pride: The LGBTQ+ history Series” which follows Woods and friends as they travel to different Pride celebrations around the globe to learn about LGBTQ+ history and how it can inform our communities going forward.

Michael Yerxa – Director/Producer

headshot_michaelyerxaKnown for his outspokenness as an original cast member on Logo TV and MTV Canada’s 1 Girl 5 Gays, Michael Yerxa has worked behind the scenes as a producer on some of Canada’s most successful factual television shows including Canada’s Drag RaceStill Standing and The Amazing Race Canada for which he won a Canadian Screen Award.

He has recently begun to branch out as a documentary filmmaker and producer. In 2015, he collaborated with filmmaker Mark Kenneth Woods on the television documentary “Take Up The Torch“, an inspiring look at past and present LGBT sport trailblazers in Canada actively making the sports landscape more LGBT-inclusive post-Sochi Olympics.

He is currently working on a number of factual series.
